Low Voltage Distribution System for DIN-Rail Meters

The LVDS can houses up to 12 DIN-Rail meters and one n-DNet™ HUB unit. The meters are connected to the HUB. The HUB communicates simultaneously on both PLC and RF with the other nodes on the Mobix AMI network.

The DIN-Rail meters have a remote ON/OFF contactors and are able to shut down or lower electricity via commands received through the AMI network.

Mobix LVDS solution provides four main advantages:

•    Removes the meter from consumer premises providing a very secure and anti-theft / fraud            solution

•    The meters are in groups and enable a very cost effective AMI implementation (a number of         meters for each box)

•    Modular solution that is tailored to specific  customer needs

•    In-Home Display Unit (Optional) - The In-home Display Unit is designed to be user-friendly          and displays the most important electricity consumption information which allows better                monitoring of consumption data

 Post and Pre-Payment Solutions

The LVDS system enables post payment, prepayment or transition from one to another without human intervention.  In a Pre-Payment configuration, the DIN-Rail meters can be shut or activated remotely according to monthly Pre-Payment of the consumer. The Pre-Payment actions are managed by the Billing software. In a Post-Payment configuration, the consumer will receive a receipt for the electricity consumption measured by the DIN-Rail meters. 

Mobix Wireless Solutions provides tailored implementations according to customer needs. A solution can be a stand-alone Pre-Payment or Post-Payment systems, or a combination of both. For example: the utility can decide which consumers will be post-charged and which will be pre-charged.
